Can anyone speak to the issue of foreclosures in Chicago, Illinois? Foreclosures are up around the country due to the sub-prime lending practices. Is there any foreclosure impact on real estate in Chicago?

I can speak of foreclosures in the local Chicagoland area. www.ilFLS.com, the Illinois Foreclosures Listing Service, is a local foreclosure data provider for investors. They record directly from the courthouse and have seen a 30% increase in preforeclosure filings.
